Over the past several
months, things have really started to spiral into complete and utter chaos.
Everywhere where you turn, harm or danger seems to be more present than
ever. Every news channel is playing the Ferguson story, the Iraq story
and the immigration story. Very rarely in this day and time, do we turn
on the TV to hear the good news. Who
or what is causing all of these
issues? Where could it strike
next? When will it strike and why? There are so many questions
and actually, very little answers.
Our
president stands before the world, and addresses these issues from time to
time, but my questions at the end of his speeches are always the same... Where
are the answers? Where are the solutions to all these problems?
Take for instance his speech this past Wednesday on ISIS beheading an
American journalist. If you listened to his speech, 95% of the speech was
focused on James Foley and how great of a guy he was. Please don't get me
wrong here. That is all fine and well, I am sure James Foley was an outstanding
person and it was great that President Obama paid his respects to him and
acknowledged that. However, that only leaves 5% of the speech left, and what
did he talk about in the other 5%??? He spoke about ISIS or ISIL as he
calls them. Yes, he calls them out as horrible people and actually stated
that "No just God would stand for what ISIS did to James Foley".
Yes, he said that we would continue to defend and protect our people, but
just 5% of the whole speech? People are watching him and looking to him
for ANSWERS, not a eulogy. He
didn't offer any answers to the issues at hand...not one! In fact,
apparently it mattered so little to him, that he was back on the golf course
within minutes of the speech! This was the same action taken earlier this
month when Army Major General Harold Greene was killed in Afghanistan.
After giving a speech (which was a bill signing speech in which he just
made mention of General Greene) to the American people, within five minutes, he
was on the golf course. Oh yeah, and if you already knew all of that, did
you know that neither President Obama, nor Vice President Joe Biden were
present for the funeral? Guess where President Obama was during the funeral?
Yep! On the golf course!!! Which, by the way is a great Segway into my next point.

I
do not have an issue with the President of the United States playing golf,
weather democrat or republican. It simply seems to be what they do.
I understand, you have got to get out and do something that makes you
happy. You need a break from the extremely hectic day to day life that is
the President. The issue here is not how many times President Obama has
played golf. The issue is WHEN President Obama is playing golf.
It appears to many people when this happens, that President Obama just doesn’t
care. He is only doing it because he has to. It doesn't take too
smart of a person to see the difference in have to and want to. I hope and pray that we start to hear answers
and see solutions, not just hearing and seeing, what we already know.
