Finally, after a much anticipated
action, Mr. Obama has acted directly toward ISIS. Yesterday, the US along with other opposition
forces carried out multiple airstrikes in Syria, attacking ISIS compounds and
hideouts. I am so very glad that Obama
decided to take care of business for a change.
Maybe since yesterday was the first day of fall, it was a little too
chilly for him to hit the golf course. I
wonder though in the back of my mind, if his intentions are in the right
spot? Did he authorize these attacks to
protect American citizens, or is it because the mid-term elections are just six
weeks away and he needed to do something to make himself and his party look
better? Keep in mind, he issued the call
to strike just after congress left town for recess. Also, if he did issue this attack purely for
political reasoning, that would be yet another violation of the
constitution. In any aspect, he finally
did something that needed to be done.
I am amazed that a man who studied
the constitution and constitutional law so in depth, seems to have no knowledge
of it whatsoever. Or just maybe, he has
so much knowledge of it that he knows exactly how to do something and get by
with it. You choose the route you want
to take on that, but I am going with the latter.
My thoughts on Mr. Obama and his intentions
have varied over the last several years.
First off, I didn't want the “change” he spoke of in 2008. America is the greatest country on earth, why
would we want change? Also, I have teetered
tottered back and forth on the intentions side of things. I have stated before, that I did not believe
Mr. Obama wanted to destroy America. I
thought he may just have surrounded himself with the wrong people, therefore
making all these bad decisions. However,
his actions over the past several months have made me change my opinion. I do believe that he wants to destroy
America. Why does he simply not care and
anything or anyone? It took months to
act on ISIS, all policies enacted by him are failures, he ignores the border,
he ignores Benghazi and the IRS scandal, and he has no respect for our
military. Just today, as he exited
Marine one, he saluted our Marines with a latte in hand!! Seriously?
You do not have enough gratitude to salute the men and women who protect
YOU???
When we were at war in Iraq under
George W. Bush, he flew on Air Force One, in the dead of the night, unseen by
any radar, and had Thanksgiving dinner with the troops there. He then flew back home to the White House by
morning. He did this, with no cameras,
no media, nothing. Even his closest
cabinet members were wondering where he was.
Now, look what we have…
As I look around, I cannot help but
to feel saddened by all of this. I love
my country as you all know, but I cannot stand watching it torn apart from
within. Just like a true blooded
American though, I keep my head high and knee pads on hand, knowing that in the
end, we will still reign supreme, but we MUST change the way we think. We MUST get back to what our founding fathers
believed. Just tonight, I was speaking
with a friend of mine about Benjamin Franklin.
Benjamin Franklin was considered the most non-religious of all the
founding fathers, but was once documented saying:
“I have lived Sir a long time, but
the longer I live, the more I realize that God deals in the affairs of man, and
if a sparrow cannot fall to the ground without His notice, how can a country
rise without His aid?"
If this came from the most non-religious, just imagine how the others
believed.
