Stand Up

I know it has been a while, but I’m back!  Now, for a thought from the right….
I have been humbled lately by many fellow Americans.  We hear on the news daily how our public schools and various groups on the left is pushing our next generation of kids to forego everything this great country was built upon.  Just today, I read an article about a school in South Carolina that asked a student to remove the American flag from his truck.  Did he?  No.  In fact, the students at the school came in the next day in droves of pickup trucks with American flags on every single one!  Good for them.  When I hear of these stories, I tend to have higher hopes of the next generation.  This of course is not the only example I have heard of or saw in the past several months.

It seems more and more, I am hearing of our young people standing up for what they believe in; Standing up for their rights, freedom and liberty.  From young students flying the flag proud, to others saying they will work until their fingers bleed instead of asking for government assistance.  In seeing this, I haven’t become blind.  I realize there are still people out there that are quite the opposite, but at least I know that there are still those that will stand up for our country and our freedoms.  Over the past several years, I have been saddened by the direction that our country seems to be turning.  I just hope that more people stand up for her and defend her, just as the students in SC have done.

We all know that the 2016 elections are already gearing up, and yes, I am sure to be on with my thoughts and findings.  As much as I hate the political ads and slandering, I love the elections.  It is our time to let our voices be heard.  Stay tuned here to a very interesting and thoughtful picture of the road ahead.

“The people cannot be all, and always, well informed.  The part which is wrong will be discounted, in proportion to the importance of the fact they misconceive.  If they remain quite under such misconceptions, it is lethargy, the forerunner of death to the public liberty”.-- Thomas Jefferson
